TNT has been putting out decent to good crime procedurals but have been trying to emulate the success of some of the more prestigious networks with things like Falling Skies, which is their attempt to mimic The Walking Dead.  Their upcoming show, Mob City, looks to be their closest attempt yet to something like a Breaking Bad, Mad Men or, more specifically, Boardwalk Empire.   The Walking Dead’s Jon Bernthal stars as LAPD detective Joe Teague in the 1940’s, caught between his chief, William Parker (Neal McDonough) and Mickey Cohen (Jeremy Luke).  Ed Burns, Robert Knepper, Jeffery DeMunn, Alexa Davos and Milo Ventimiglia round out the main cast with guest stars like Simon Pegg showing up in 1 or 2 episodes.  The show is executive produced by Frank Darabont, who also directed the pilot a la Walking Dead.  The show is set to debut this December for six episodes and you can check out the trailer below.
