Disney is on a massive kick right now of turning their animated classics into live action, with this year’s Maleficent and upcoming adaptations of Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast in the works. This Christmas though, they are combining a number of fairy tale characters for an adaptation of the musical, Into the Woods. Following Cinderella (Anna Kendrick), Little Red Riding Hood (Lilla Crawford), Jack (Daniel Huttlestone) and Rapunzel (MacKenzie Mauzy), they all make a wish but have to deal with the consequences. Emily Blunt and James Corden appear as a baker and his wife, who try break the curse placed upon them by a witch (Meryl Streep). Johnny Depp voices the Wolf who stalks Riding Hood. It’s kind of strange that, this being a musical, you don’t see or hear anyone seeing, especially since the music was written Steven Sondheim. Rob Marshall, of Chicago and Pirates 4 fame, directs and the movie is out on Christmas Day this December. Check out the trailer below.
I’m like the J. Jonah Jameson of Everything Action, writing and editing and constantly demanding pictures of Spider-Man.
