Housebound Trailer

Making the rounds and getting rave reviews at festivals like SXSW and Fantastic Fest is the New Zealand import, Housebound.  Starring New Zealand actress, Morgana O’Reilly, as a criminal who gets put on house arrest at her mother’s house after an ATM robbery.  The ankle bracelet gets even more inconvenient when it seems like the house is haunted, so it kind of combines a haunted house movie and a home invasion thriller but through a darkly comedic lens.  It reminds me a lot of You’re Next, which was also a cool darkly comic spin on home invasion horror.  It’s out in October here in the US and you can check out the trailer below.
