Marvel Unveils Phase 3 of the Cinematic Universe

Marvel saw DC’s announcement a few weeks ago about their plans through 2020 and raised them by announcing the movies that will make up Phase 3 after Phase 2 culminates next summer with Age of Ultron and Ant-Man.  Here’s what we can expect from Marvel through 2019

  • Captain America: Civil War: May, 6 2016 (Starring Chris Evans and featuring Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark and introducing Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther, directed by Joe and Anthony Russo)

  • Doctor Strange: November 4, 2016 (Directed by Scott Derrickson, possibly with Benedict Cumberbatch in the lead role)

(DC will answer in 2016 with Batman v Supermand and Suicide Squad)
