January 9th
- Taken 3: Liam Neeson is back as former CIA agent Bryan Mills, this time on the run after someone murders his wife.
- Inherent Vice: Expanding wide, Paul Thomas Anderson’s latest follows private eye Joaquin Phoenix as he tries to find his ex-girlfriend who has disappeared and untangles a web of conspiracy in 70’s California.
- Selma: Also expanding wide, David Oyelowo stars as Martin Luther King Jr. in this bio-pic, specifically focusing on the three months surrounding his march on Selma in 1965.
January 16th
- Blackhat: Michael Mann directs this cyber-thriller where Chris Hemsworth is a hacker who is tasked to track down a cyber-terrorist who is launching attacks against targets in the US and China.
- Paddington: The classic storybook bear comes to the big screen and arrives in the home of Colin Firth and his family, causing all sorts of mischief.
- The Wedding Ringer: Kevin Hart stars as a man who hires himself as the best man to friendless grooms but his latest client (Josh Gad) needs an entire fake wedding party.
- American Sniper: Expanding wide, Bradley Cooper stars as Chris Kyle, who became the most lethal sniper in US history during his four tours in the Middle East.
January 23rd
- The Boy Next Door: Jennifer Lopez stars as a divorced teacher who has an affair with a young neighbor, who develops a dangerous obsession with her.
- Mortdecai: Johnny Depp is an eccentric art collector who is tasked by the British government to find a missing masterpiece but he plots to keep it for himself.
- Strange Magic: Co-written and produced by George Lucas, Strange Magic is an animated take on A Midsummer’s Night Dream and set in world with two warring factions of magical creatures.
January 30th
- Black or White: A grieving widower is drawn into a custody battle over his granddaughter, whom he helped raise her entire life.
- The Loft: Five friends who share a loft for their extramarital affairs begin to question one another after the murdered body of an unknown young woman is found in the property.
- Project Almanac: A group of friends find secret plans for a time machine and, after building it, try to improve their lives by redoing recent events but there starts to be unexpected consequences.
