We’re huge fans of ridiculous 80’s throwbacks here at Everything Action like Manborg, Kung Fury, Hobo with a Shotgun, etc and this past week at Sundance, Turbo Kid was the latest entry in that genre. Set in the far off future of 1997, the movie follows The Kid as he tries to survive a post apocalyptic wasteland full of Mad Maxesque savages. It’s an expansion of an ABCs of Death segment (T is for Turbo) by director Ant Timpson and the director of the aforementioned Hobo with a Shotgun, Jason Eisener, is producing. There’s no distributor yet but hopefully someone picks it up soon but for now, check out the rad trailer.
I’m like the J. Jonah Jameson of Everything Action, writing and editing and constantly demanding pictures of Spider-Man.
