  • New Indiana Jones Restaurant opening in Walt Disney WorldIn Downtown Disney, a restaurant is opening called Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar. Jock is Indy’s friend, a sky pirate, who flies him away from danger in the beginning of Raiders and the restaurant will be airplane hanger themed and feature easter eggs of Indy and Jock’s other adventures together.
  • Third Apes movie has a titleThe upcoming trilogy maker will be called War of the Planet of the Apes and will arrive July 14, 2017.
  • Samuel L Jackson joins The Blob remakeJackson will play a biochemistry professor working on trying to stop the alien creature from destroying the world.  Simon West, of Con Air and Expendables 2, is directing.
  • Harry Shearer has left The SimpsonsAfter 26 seasons, Harry Shearer has quit The Simpsons, which was renewed for another two seasons on Fox.  Shearer voiced some of the most important side characters of the show, like Mr. Burns, Ned Flanders, Smithers, Principal Skinner and so many more.  The voices of those characters will be recast.
  • Ratchet and Clank movie has a release dateThe galaxy’s favorite duo will arrive in theaters on April 29, 2016.
  • British Office spin off gets funding: Ricky Gervais has gotten funding for a spin-off of the original Office that will find David Brent on the road with his band “Forgone Conclusion” and also working a day job as a traveling salesman for a cleaning product company.
  • Diego Luna joins Star Wars Rogue OneThe Elysium and Milk actor has joined Felicity Jones in the cast for Gareth Edwards’ Star Wars: Rogue One.  As revealed at Star Wars Celebration, the movie is a heist film about the theft of the original Death Star plans.
  • New Mutants movie coming from FoxAnother piece of the Fox X-verse is coming soon as the New Mutants will arrive on the big screen.  The Fault in Our Stars director Josh Boone is signed on to direct.
  • Anne Hathaway starring in ColossalDirected by Nacho Vigalondo, the director of Timecrimes, Colossal is a Kaiju movie featuring a Godzilla analogue that has a psychic connection to a woman, who will be played by Hathaway.
  • The Fugitive getting rebootedThe Harrison Ford/Tommy Lee Jones classic is getting possibly rebooted over at WB.  Original producers Anne and Arnold Kopelson are returning to produce the new movie.
  • New season of 24 might be on the wayAt the Fox upfront presentation, executive Gary Walden revealed another season of 24 is in development at Fox but it’s very early on and there’s no word on if Keifer Sutherland will return as Jack Bauer.
  • Charlize Theron starring in The Coldest City from John Wick directorsThe John Wick directing team of David Leitch and Chad Stahelski are signed on to direct Charlize Theron in a Cold War action thriller, The Coldest City.  Theron is a spy who has to recover a list created by a murdered MI6 agent that has the names of agents on both sides of the Berlin Wall.
  • Brad Bird’s next movie is The Incredibles 2Demanded for years, The Incredibles is finally getting a sequel as Brad Bird confirmed his next movie is Incredibles 2.  He will be writing and most likely directing but there’s no word on plot or who would be coming back from the cast.  A game sequel found the Parr family taking on the villainous Underminer, seen at the end of the first movie.
  • X-Files returns in January: Mulder and Scully are back on Fox starting January 24th, 2016.
  • The Rock starring in Alpha Squad SevenThe Rock seemingly never stops working and he just joined another movie this week, the sci-fi/action/comedy, Alpha Squad Seven.  The Rock will be the leader of some sort of outer space force and it’s being pitched as something like a cross between Guardians of the Galaxy, Armaggedon and Independence Day.
  • Underworld 5 comingThere was talk of a TV series but now Kate Beckinsale will return in a fifth movie in the Underworld series as Selene and Anna Foerster, who’s directed episodes of Outlander, Criminal Minds and Unforgetabble, will direct.
  • Bebop cast for TMNT 2Gary Anthony Williams, whose voice you’ve heard in shows like The Boondocks playing Uncle Ruckus, will be voicing Bebop in the upcoming TMNT sequel.  No word yet on who will play Rocksteady.
