Although it “ended” on a less than stellar note, NBC is bringing back it’s superpowered drama Heroes for the new Heroes Reborn event this fall. Taking place one year after a terrorist attack on Odessa, TX that is blamed on superpowered individuals, most of the “heroes” have gone into hiding but there are people and events that require them to come out of hiding to save the world. Noah Bennett aka HRG (Jack Coleman) has been off the grid for years but returns to investigate this new threat and Matt Parkman (Greg Grunberg), Mohinder Suresh (Sendhil Ramamurthy), The Haitian (Jimmy Jean-Louis) and Hiro Nakamura (Masi Oka) return as well to join new powered people played by Zachary Levi, Ryan Guzman and Kiki Sukezane. I dropped out of Heroes partway through the second season and I’ve heard the third season got crazy and terrible, so hopefully this will be mostly a clean break. There’s also not a writer’s strike occuring, which was one of the big factors that caused the downfall of Heroes 1.0. The new season of Heroes starts September 24th on NBC and you can check out the trailer below.
I’m like the J. Jonah Jameson of Everything Action, writing and editing and constantly demanding pictures of Spider-Man.
