It’s been over 15 years since Disney’s Tarzan (and it’s Phil Collins soundtrack) hit theaters and Edgar Rice Burroughs’ King of the Jungle is back next summer with a gritty reboot, The Legend of Tarzan. Alexander Skarsgard takes on the title role, up against Christoph Waltz’s evil industrialist, who is trying to strip mine Tarzan’s jungle home. Margot Robbie is Jane and Samuel L. Jackson, Casper Crump (aka The CW’s Vandal Savage), Djimon Hounsou and John Hurt co-star as well. It looks a lot like Peter Jackson’s King Kong and it’s directed by David Yates, who directed the final four Harry Potter movies and is directing the spin-off. The Legend of Tarzan arrives in July next summer and you can check out the trailer below.
I’m like the J. Jonah Jameson of Everything Action, writing and editing and constantly demanding pictures of Spider-Man.
