Last year’s TMNT reboot was not quite the disaster everyone was expecting but there was still quite a bit of that Michael Bay weirdness and disregard of logic. That will probably still be the case next summer when the Turtles are back with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows. Shredder returns after somehow surviving a fall off of a skyscraper and recruits scientist Baxter Stockman (Tyler Perry) to create him some mutants to battle the turtles and low level criminals Bebop (Gary Anthony Williams) and Rocksteady (Sheamus) are turned into their warthog and rhino alter egos. Fortunately, the Turtles have some help from fellow vigilante, Casey Jones (Stephen Amell). It’s great to see Bebop and Rocksteady finally make it to the big screen and any version of Casey is welcome as well (especially one who’s Green Arrow) but it looks like a lot of the cringe worthy humor from Will Arnett and Michelangelo is back as well. David Green, who directed Earth to Echo, is directing and the movie is out in June next summer. Check out the trailer below.
I’m like the J. Jonah Jameson of Everything Action, writing and editing and constantly demanding pictures of Spider-Man.
