The Boston Marathon Bombing Gets Dramatized in Patriots Day (Trailer)
Peter Berg and Mark Wahlberg team up for their third retelling of recent dramatic events with Patriots Day, which details the aftermath of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing. Wahlberg plays Boston PD officer Tommy Saunders, who is at the finish line when the bombs go off and he joins the rescue and hunt for the bombers and the movie also follows Special Agent Richard DesLauriers (Kevin Bacon), Police Commissioner Ed Davis (John Goodman), Sergeant Jeffrey Pugliese (J.K. Simmons) and nurse Carol Saunders (Michelle Monaghan). Lone Survivor and Deepwater Horizon both did well financically as well as with critics and this seems like it’s got exactly the same tone and feel as those two films.
