Guillermo Del Toro Brings the World of Trolls to Netflix (Trailer)

On top of all of his directing and producing, Guillermo Del Toro also somehow has time to write or co-write books as well, like The Strain series and also the YA book Trollhunters, which is coming to Netflix as a new series in December.  Starring the late Anton Yelchin in one of his last roles, the show follows Jim Lake Jr., a typical teen who discovers a mysterious and powerful amulet that makes him the guardian of both the human and troll worlds.  Jim has to train to defend both worlds from an evil troll and his army while balancing his regular life at school and home.  Kelsey Grammar, Ron Perlman, Charlie Sexton, Steven Yeun, Tom Hiddleston, Jonathan Hyde and even GDT himself lend their voices and the animation style is in the vein of other recent Dreamworks releases like How to Train Your Dragon.  The entire series is streaming right in time for Christmas on December 23rd and you can check out the trailer below.
