Hopefully breaking the trend of terrible video game movies, Assassin’s Creed arrives just before Christmas in December with the backing of Ubisoft and one of the best actors in the world, Michael Fassbender, in the lead. Fassbender plays Callum Lynch, a prisoner who is taken by the mysterious Abstergo Corporation to enter their device called the Animus to relive past events experienced by his ancestor, Aguilar, during the Spanish Inquistion. Justin Kurzel, who directed Fassbender in the most recent big screen adaptation of Macbeth, is directing this and Marion Cotillard, Jeremy Irons, Brendan Gleeson, Ariane Labed and Michael K. Williams co-star. The action looks like it will capture the parkour of the games and hopefully the story matches up to the action and the level of the actors involved. The movie is out on December 21st and you can check out the new trailer below.
I’m like the J. Jonah Jameson of Everything Action, writing and editing and constantly demanding pictures of Spider-Man.
