Trey Parker Wields the 80s in Despicable Me 3 (Trailer)

After letting his underlings get the spotlight in Minions, Gru is back in the starring role for next summer’s Despicable Me 3.  Gru (Steve Carell) and his wife Lucy (Kristen Wiig) are working for the Anti-Villain League and have a new foe in supervillain Balthazar Bratt (Trey Parker), a former 80’s child star who is obsessed with the character he played and the decade he was famous in.  Bratt uses weaponized Rubrik’s Cubes and Keytars and is pulling various heists in a bid for world domination.  Gru will also discover his long lost brother Dru (also voiced by Carell) and his girls and the Minions are back as well.  I don’t think any of us here saw Despicable Me 2 but I’m kind of all in for Parker’s Balthazar, with his dance fighting and look that is clearly based on Larry Blackmon of Cameo.  The movie is out on June 30th next summer and you can check out the trailer below.
