Hitting the composing scene in the mid-90’s, Tyler Bates has quickly become one of the go-to composers for horror and action movies, especially if they need more guitars than violins. He’s frequently worked with Rob Zombie, Zack Synder and James Gunn, most recently scoring Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 for the latter, and also scored both John Wick movies and will be scoring Atomic Blonde for director David Leitch. Outside of movie scores, Bates also produced Marilyn Manson’s 2014 The Pale Emperor album and was Manson’s lead guitarist for his 2015 The Hell Not Hallelujah Tour. Bates has also scored games like God of War: Ascension and Kill Zone: Shadow Fall and shows like the current season of Samurai Jack. Check out some of his work below.
I’m like the J. Jonah Jameson of Everything Action, writing and editing and constantly demanding pictures of Spider-Man.
