The Woman’s Division of The Kumite Begins in Lady Bloodfight (Trailer)

There’s a Bloodsport remake that’s supposedly still in the works but beating them to the punch is Lady Bloodfight, which is actually out tomorrow from Voltage Pictures.  Starring stuntwoman Amy Johnston as Jane, a mysterious American woman who arrives in Asia looking to compete in The Kumite and gets trained in Wudang by master Shu (Muriel Hoffman) to become the champion.  All the competitors in this Kumite are ladies and it looks like the main draw is going to be the fights and they look pretty good.  It’s directed by Chris Nahon, who directed Jet Li in Kiss of the Dragon and also Blood: The Last Vampire and Empire of the Wolves.  Check out the trailer below.
