There are seemingly way too many streaming shows to keep track of between Amazon, Netflix, Hulu and other random services and AT&T is adding another into the mix with the Stephen King adaptation, Mr. Mercedes on their Audience network that is available to DirecTV customers. Brendan Gleeson stars as retired detective Bill Hodges, who gets drawn into investigating a horrific crime where Brady Hartsfield, a psychopathic killer, drove a stolen Mercedes through a crowd, killing 16 people while wearing a clown costume. Harry Treadway, who played Victor Frankenstein on Penny Dreadful, plays Hartsfield, who also seems to be digitally tormenting Hodges and others. King, David E. Kelley and Jack Bender are the executive producers and the show arrives on August 9th. Check out the trailer below.
I’m like the J. Jonah Jameson of Everything Action, writing and editing and constantly demanding pictures of Spider-Man.
