Although he never left the hearts of action fans, it seems like recently there’s been a big push back into the spotlight for everyone’s favorite martial artist as Jackie Chan has big Hollywood movies coming soon with The Foreigner and The Lego Ninjago Movie plus he’s teaming up with Stallone in the future for Ex-Baghdad but coming out of his home country of China is an insane, almost anime looking new sci-fi action movie, Bleeding Steel. Jackie is a hardened special forces soldier who takes on a job protecting a young girl but things go out of control with what looks like cybernetic soldiers and over the top villains attacking. The trailer and synopsis don’t really give any kind of clear context for what’s happening but it looks crazy, although there doesn’t look to be a lot of the crazy choreography we’ve come to know from Jackie and it seems closer to something like the aforementioned Foreigner in terms of “serious” Jackie Chan. It’s coming out in December in China and then hopefully will be available in some form here in the west in 2018. Check out the trailer below.
I’m like the J. Jonah Jameson of Everything Action, writing and editing and constantly demanding pictures of Spider-Man.
