As many sites will tell you, we are in a golden age for Stephen King adaptations, with critically acclaimed movies like IT and Gerald’s Game and more on the way. Hulu already contributed to the resurgence last year with their excellent 11-22-63 miniseries but next year they are doing something much different in the world of Stephen King. Castle Rock, the setting for King stories like Needful Things, The Dark Half, Cujo and The Dead Zone, is a new drama that is seemingly going to be it’s own story but pull in references and possibly characters from the larger Stephen King universe. JJ Abrams is producing and the cast includes Andre Holland, Scott Glenn, Terry O’Quinn, Pennywise himself Bill Skarsgard, Melanie Lynskey, Sissy Spacek and Jane Levy. This first trailer from NYCC is heavy on creepy imagery but not really explaining just what is going but if it’s half as good as the recent King media we’ve gotten, we’re definitely on board. Check out the trailer below.

I’m like the J. Jonah Jameson of Everything Action, writing and editing and constantly demanding pictures of Spider-Man.
