Mads Mikkelsen Goes John Wick for Netflix with Polar (Trailer)

Mads Mikkelsen is going to be everywhere in the first few months of 2019 (which we couldn’t be happier about) and he’ll be starring in Polar in a few weeks on Netflix.  Based on the graphic novel written and illustrated by Victor Santos, Mikkelsen stars as retired assassin Duncan Vizla aka The Black Kaiser.  When the organization he worked for puts out a hit in order to get his earnings back into their coffers, Vizla must come out of retirement and take on a crew of younger assassins and rescue his neighbor Camille (Vanessa Hudgens), who has been kidnapped to lure Vizla out.  Kathryn Winnick, Matt Lucas, Josh Cruddas, Ruby O. Fee, and Anthony Grant co-star and the movie is directed by music video director Jonas Akerlund, who directed last year’s indie horror movie Lords of Chaos.  The movie hits Netflix on January 25th and you can check out the trailer below.
