HBO and British network Sky are teaming up to tell the story of the 1986 Chernobyl disaster in a miniseries debuting this May. Jared Harris stars as Valery Legasov, the head of the commission looking into the causes of the Chernobyl disaster and Stellan Skarsgard, Emily Watson, Paul Ritter, Jessie Buckley, Adrian Rawlins, and Con O’Neill co-star. The show was created by Craig Mazin, who weirdly enough is best known for writing comedies like Identity Thief, The Hangover Part II and III and The Huntsman: Winter’s War, and it will be five episodes starting on May 6th.
