Director Jim Jarmusch is known for movies like Dead Man, Ghost Dog, and Only Lovers Left Alive but he’s going full Shaun of the Dead/Zombieland comedy for his next film, this June’s The Dead Don’t Die. Starring Bill Murray, Adam Driver, and Chloe Sevigny as a trio of small-town cops, their quiet little town experiences a full-on zombie outbreak with the local graveyard’s residents rising from their graves. Tilda Swinton co-stars as the town’s funeral parlor owner who is also a samurai(!?) and the rest of the cast is crazy including Danny Glover, Selena Gomez, Iggy Pop, RZA, Carol Kane, Steve Buscemi, Caleb Landry Jones, Tom Waits, and Rosie Perez. Jarmusch’s previous movies were a little artsy and esoteric for more general audiences but this definitely seems like his most mainstream movie to date and looks like it could be a lot of fun. It’s out on June 14th and you can check out the trailer below.
I’m like the J. Jonah Jameson of Everything Action, writing and editing and constantly demanding pictures of Spider-Man.
