Jumanji Gets an Upgrade for Jumanji: The Next Level (Trailer)

2017’s Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle was not only a box office juggernaut but also an incredibly fun and funny adventure with a quartet of amazing performances from The Rock, Jack Black, Kevin Hart and Karen Gillan.  That group is back but things are all switched up for Jumanji: The Next Level.  Spencer (Alex Wolff) has been trying to rebuild the Jumanji video game and succeeds in getting it back working but disappears.  Bethany (Madison Iseman), Martha (Morgan Turner) and Fridge (Ser’Darius Blain) come over to look for him and find his grandfather Eddie (Danny DeVito) and his friend Milo Walker (Danny Glover) but no Spencer and a malfunctioning Jumanji, which sucks them in again.  Marth is back as Ruby Roundhouse (Gillan) but Fridge is now Professor Oberon (Black), Eddie is Dr. Braveston (The Rock) and Milo is Franklin Finbar (Hart), with Bethany and Spencer nowhere to be found.  The new quartet has to go on a new adventure to find them and try to explain video games to the doddering old men that are now stuck with them.  Colin Hanks, Nick Jonas, Awkwafina, Rhys Darby and Dania Ramirez are also on board and Jake Kasdan is back to direct.  It seems like the main quartet is back in full force, with The Rock and Kevin Hart doing the lion’s share of the humor channeling DeVito and Glover and there’s some new environments like a snowy mountain and a desert.  The movie is out on December 13th and you can check out the trailer below.
