Musical Montage: Pitbull “Back in Time”

Men in Black: International is out on DVD and Blu-Ray this week after a lackluster, to say the least, box office run.  One of the many things it was lacking from the original movies was an original song but considering Men in Black 3 had “Back in Time” by Pitbull, maybe that was for the best.  After two songs from the Fresh Prince, Mr. Worldwide took over for the third entry with “Back in Time”, which was less a Men in Black song and just a typical Pitbull song with some random references to Agent J or MIB thrown in.  Probably most curiously, the song heavily used a sample from the song “Love is Strange” by Mickey & Sylvia, which is probably most famous for being featured in Dirty Dancing. “Back in Time” was also weirdly not on the MIB 3 soundtrack and was instead the lead single from Pitbull’s album Global Warming and it sold 1.3 million copies as a single.  The music video is much more MIB themed than the actual song itself, incorporating footage from the movie and putting Pitbull into the role of a MIB agent in locations from the movie.  Check it out below.
