Much like this year’s reboot of The Banana Splits, next year’s spin on Fantasy Island from Blumhouse turns something deeply cheesy and 70’s into a horror movie. Michael Pena takes over from Ricardo Montalban as the mysterious Mr. Roarke, who gives the visitors to his island the chance to live out their most desired fantasy. However, this new island seems to have a dark side and the fantasies turn into nightmares the longer they go on. Lucy Hale, Maggie Q, Ryan Hansen, Jimmy O. Yang, Portia Doubleday, and Austin Stowell are the unlucky guests visiting the island while Parisa Fitz-Henley is Roarke’s assistant and Michael Rooker is somewhere there as well. Jeff Wadlow, who directed Truth or Dare for Blumhouse last year, is directing and the movie is out on February 14th next year. Check out the trailer below.
I’m like the J. Jonah Jameson of Everything Action, writing and editing and constantly demanding pictures of Spider-Man.
