The Hunt is Back On in March

After it’s original trailer came out last summer, Blumhouse’s The Hunt found itself being attacked on all fronts as it’s trailer came out in the wake of a mass shooting and it also caught the attention of President Trump and Fox News, who ranted against it based on their wrong perceptions of what the movie was actually about.  Blumhouse and Universal pulled the movie from its original release date but now it will hit theaters in March and it seems to be riding the controversy with a new ad campaign that playing up the fact that its “The most talked about movie of the year that no one has seen”.  The movie hasn’t suffered any plot changes and it’s still about a group of strangers who wake up not knowing where they are or how they got there and realizing they are being hunted for sport by a group of wealthy hunters, led by Hilary Swank.  Betty Gilpin, Emma Roberts, Ike Barinholtz and Ethan Suplee are some of The Hunted and the movie was written by Damon Lindelof and Nick Cuse, who have pretty much gained all the goodwill on the Internet following Watchmen and it’s directed by Craig Zobel, who directed Z for Zachariah and Compliance.  The Hunt is out on March 13th and you can check out the new trailer below.
