Originally wrapping up production in 2017, Chaos Walking has suffered a number of delays, including massive reshoots throughout April last year, which pushed back it’s release date. The pandemic hasn’t helped things but the Doug Liman directed sci-fi action movie is apparently coming out now on January 22 next year. Daisy Ridley and Tom Holland star and the movie is set on a distant planet where the female population has disappeared and the men of the planet are afflicted with “the noise”, which makes all their inner thoughts audible and visible. Ridley’s Viola crash lands on the planet and becomes a target of not just a human faction on the planet, but apparently a race of vicious aliens as well. Holland’s Tom vows to protect Viola and apparently his “noise” is more powerful than anyone else’s if he can unlock the secret behind it. The movie is based on the first book of a trilogy, The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness. Mads Mikkelsen, Demian Bichir, Nick Jonas, Cynthia Erivo, David Oyelowo and Kurt Sutter co-star. It looks like there’s a lot going on and given it’s rocky path to completion, it may not be able to handle all it’s elements in a non-messy fashion. Check out the trailer below.
I’m like the J. Jonah Jameson of Everything Action, writing and editing and constantly demanding pictures of Spider-Man.
