Jason Statham got his first major acting roles in Guy Ritchie’s Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch and now in May this year, Statham and Ritchie will reunite for Wrath of Man. Statham stars as the mysterious H, who gets a job working as a guard for an armored truck company. When his truck is hit in a robbery, he displays almost superhuman skills, taking out the assailants with precision and efficiency, much to the bafflement and concern of his new co-workers (Josh Hartnett and Holt McCallany). It turns out H has taken his new job in a plot to get revenge for the death of his son, who was caught in the cross-fire of a prior attempt to rob an armored truck. Jeffrey Donovan, Laz Alonzo, Raúl Castillo, Deobia Oparei, Eddie Marsan and Scott Eastwood co-star. It looks like instead of throwing back to their earlier collaborations, Ritchie is instead putting his own spin on the Statham action-style Statham built up after those initial roles i.e The Transporter or The Mechanic but it looks cool either way. The movie is out on May 7th in theaters and you can check out the trailer below.
I’m like the J. Jonah Jameson of Everything Action, writing and editing and constantly demanding pictures of Spider-Man.
