One of the first big exclusive Apple TV+ movies was the World War II drama Greyhound with Tom Hanks and Hanks is returning to the service in November with Finch. Hanks plays Finch, who is one of the last humans left on Earth after an apocalyptic solar flare devastates the Earth, wiping out crops and most cities and people. Living in a high-tech bunker underground, Finch has his beloved dog and builds a robot companion named Jeff (Caleb Landry Jones) who becomes his makeshift family. When a devastating new storm threatens their home, the trio must set out across the hostile wasteland to try and find someplace new to live. The movie was directed by Miguel Sapochnik, an Emmy-winning veteran of Game of Thrones and it was originally going to hit theaters in October 2020 but got shuffled around to multiple release dates before Apple bought the rights in May of this year. The movie will debut on Apple TV+ on November 5th and you can check out the trailer below.
I’m like the J. Jonah Jameson of Everything Action, writing and editing and constantly demanding pictures of Spider-Man.
