SDCC 2022 has begun and it’s brought us our first look at the long in development new Dungeons & Dragons movie, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. Directed by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, the team behind Game Night, Honor Among Thieves follows a group of, as the title suggests, thieves in the world of Dungeons & Dragons. Chris Pine is the group’s Bard, Michelle Rodriguez is the Barbarian, Regé-Jean Page is the Paladin, Justice Smith is the Sorcerer and Sophia Lillis is the Druid. The group steals a powerful magical object but when they realize that the person they stole it for has evil plans for the realm, they have to become heroes and stop them and save the world. Hugh Grant, Chloe Coleman, Jason Wong, and Daisy Head co-star. The movie looks like it’s going to have a ton of the signature creatures and locales from D&D, including stuff like Owlbears and Mimics, and it looks like it will have the epic scope of something like Game of Thrones but with a healthy dose of banter and humor. The movie is out in March 2023 and you can check out the trailer below.
I’m like the J. Jonah Jameson of Everything Action, writing and editing and constantly demanding pictures of Spider-Man.
