Christoph Waltz Returns to the Wild West in Dead for a Dollar (Trailer)

It’s been 10 years since Django Unchained but Christoph Waltz is returning to the Western genre for Dead for a Dollar, directed by the legendary Walter Hill.  Waltz plays a bounty hunter named Max Borlund, who is hired by a man to head into Mexico and “rescue” his wife Rachel, played by Rachel Brosnahan.  Borlund arrives and finds that Rachel left willingly and is living with an African-American Army deserter, Elijah Jones (Brandon Scott), and has no intentions of returning home.  Borlund has to decide if he will honor the original deal or help Rachel protect her new life.  Complicating things is the fact that Borlund’s old enemy, Joe Cribbens (Willem Dafoe) is back and looking for revenge.  Benjamin Bratt, Warren Burke, Hamish Linklater, and Guy Burnet co-star.  This will be Hill’s first movie in 6 years after he directed the controversial action movie The Assignment back in 2016 and Dead for a Dollar will be in theaters, On Demand, and on Digital on September 30th. Check out the trailer below.
