Guy Ritchie Goes to War in April with The Covenant (Trailer)

We’re still waiting for Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre, starring Jason Statham, here in the US but another Guy Ritchie movie is making its way to theaters in April with The Covenant.  Jake Gyllenhaal plays Sgt. John Kinley, who is severely wounded in Afghanistan but rescued by his interpreter, Ahmed (Dar Salim).  When John returns home, he learns that Ahmed and his family are in danger from the Taliban but the US military cannot intervene, so John goes back to Afghanistan alone to get Ahmed out.  Alexander Ludwig, Anthony Starr, Jason Wong, and Emily Beecham co-star, and Ritchie wrote the movie as well as directed it.  It looks like something like Lone Survivor or 12 Strong and if you enjoyed those, this seems like it will scratch that itch.  Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant is out on April 21st and you can check out the trailer below.
