A Prospector Battles Nazis in Sisu (Trailer)

In the last days of World War II, a former commando turned prospector, Aatami Korpi (Jorma Tommila), strikes it rich with a discovery of gold in Finland. Unfortunately, he encounters a squad of Nazis who steal his gold but it’s bad news for the Nazis as Korpi is a one-man death squad who can destroy every last one of them. Aksel Hennie, Jack Doolan, Mimosa Willamo, and Onni Tommila co-star, and the movie was directed by Jalmari Helander, who previously brought us Rare Exports and Big Game. It definitely has Inglourious Basterds vibes with its over-the-top violence against Nazis and the sort of Grindhouse/schlock tone but it seems like it’s going to be a ton of fun. Sisu is out on April 28th and you can check out the trailer below.
