Elvis Goes Archer on Netflix in Agent Elvis (Trailer)
In case you are looking for more Elvis craziness after seeing Baz Luhrmann’s maximalist biopic last year, Netflix has a new animated series that turns the King into a secret agent with Agent Elvis. Matthew McConaughey voices Elvis, who is recruited to become a vigilante secret agent and travel the globe fighting crime and taking on various missions. Don Cheadle, Kaitlin Olson, Johnny Knoxville, Tom Kenny, Christina Hendricks, Niecy Nash, Simon Pegg, Kieran Culkin, Tara Strong, Jason Mantzoukas, and more are part of the ridiculously stacked voice cast along with Priscilla Presley, who co-created the show with John Eddie. The showrunners are Eddie and Mike Arnold, who previously wrote for Archer, which this show seems to have similar vibes to. It’s also a Sony Pictures Animation joint and it looks like it’s continuing its trend of trying to do unique and genre-pushing animation styles. Agent Elvis drops all 10 episodes of its first season on March 17th and you can check out the trailer below.
