Michael Keaton gets the spotlight in the latest trailer for this summer’s The Flash as he returns as Batman to help the Barry Allens save the multiverse. Taking its storyline from Flashpoint, Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) travels back in time to prevent his mother from being murdered. While he succeeds at that, he returns to a present-day that is devoid of metahuman superheroes like Wonder Woman and Superman and General Zod (Michael Shannon) back to destroy the planet. Luckily, this new future now has Michael Keaton’s Bruce Wayne as a veteran Batman and Sasha Calle as Supergirl, who has been locked up in a special facility since she arrived on Earth. Ben Affleck also returns as Batman, making what is most likely his final appearance as the Dark Knight. Michael Keaton looks great back in the suit and he has the technology of 2023 to actually allow his Batman to move and fight in a way he never could back in 1989. Andy Muschietti directed the movie and all the WB higher-ups, including new DC bosses James Gunn and Peter Safran, have said this is one of the best superhero movies ever made. We’ll all find out on June 16th and you can check out the new trailer below.
