A New Era of Kombat Begins in September with Mortal Kombat 1 (Trailer)
The next chapter in NetherRealm Studio’s Mortal Kombat saga arrives in September with Mortal Kombat 1. Picking up from the end of Mortal Kombat 11, (Spoilers) Liu Kang became a god, Fire God Liu Kang, after defeating the Elder God Kronika and forged a new, refreshed timeline that will be the setting of Mortal Kombat 1, with new versions of classic Kharacters like Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Shang Tsung, Mileena, Kitana, Raiden, Kung Lao, and Johnny Cage with six more characters and “kameo fighters” arriving in DLC. One of the coolest bits of news is that the one and only Jean Claude Van Damme will be a skin for Johnny Cage, fulfilling the promise of the OG Mortal Kombat, initially conceived as a Bloodsport video game. Mortal Kombat 1 is coming to PS5, Xbox Series S/X, PC, and Switch on September 19th and you can check out the trailer below.
