Fury managed to top the box office, defeating Gone Girl, while The Best of Me had the worst opening ever for a Nicholas Sparks movie.

Gone Girl held the top spot at the box office this weekend while the strongest of the new releases was the potential first entry in the Universal Monsters universe, Dracula Untold.

October has some of the first potential award contenders, like David Fincher’s Gone Girl, along with the usual horror offerings, like Annabelle.
