An inventor from Texas (by way of Boston), Cade Yeager gets drawn into the worldwide conflict of the Transformers, joining Optimus Prime and the Autobots to defend the planet from the Decepticons.

The fifth entry in the Transformers franchise arrives next summer with a plot involving the Middle Ages, World War II and Optimus Prime returning from space ready to kill everyone.

After the Battle of Chicago, the Transformers have fallen on incredibly hard times, with Optimus ending up as a rusted hulk of his former self but a Texas mechanic jolts him back to life just in time to fight off a new threat.
