Despite it’s ridiculous premise and crazy trailers, Geostorm is mostly a boring slog of a disaster action movie with nothing you haven’t seen done bigger and better in other disaster movies.

Gerard Butler stars in this insane looking disaster movie as scientist Jake Lawson, who along with his brother Max (Jim Sturgess) back on Earth, has to figure out a way to stop a network of weather controlling satellites, as they are malfunctioning and causing extreme weather to destroy the planet.

Gerard Butler has to head into space to stop satellites from destroying the world with superstorms while his brother discovers a plot to assassinate the President in the insane looking Geostorm, arriving in October.

A bunch of new movies out this weekend, including a couple of updates to some 80’s classics.

A pretty terrible looking romantic comedy is up against a couple of hard hitting dramas this weekend at the box office.
