A new era of the animated DC Universe dawns in August (and September) when Superman: Man of Tomorrow arrives, which finds Clark Kent at the beginning of his superhero career battling the dual-threat of Lobo and Parasite, both recently arrived on Earth and threatening humanity.
Review: Snowpiercer
Based on but a reboot of the 2013 Bong Joon Ho movie, TNT’s new series Snowpiercer is set 7 years into the journey of the titular train as the tension between the classes on-board grows, which becomes further strained when a string of murders is uncovered and former homicide detective and current tail section member Andre Layton is tasked with investigating.

The delay to redesign Sonic seems to have paid off as the Sonic the Hedgehog movie took the top spot at the box office over the weekend and claims the highest opening ever for a video game movie.

Birds of Prey took the top spot at the box office but it was definitely not an opening that WB/DC wanted as it underperformed with the lowest opening of any recent DC movie while a number of Oscar winners and nominees saw bumps in their box office performance over the weekend.

Battle at the Box Office 10/21
Maleficent: Mistress of Evil took the top spot at the box office over the weekend but it was far below the opening of the first movie and below expectations, while Joker is on track to become the highest-grossing R rated film of all time worldwide (without adjusting for inflation).
