The 15th Annual Kick Ass Awards

Netflix Unleashes Project Power in August (Trailer)

Hopefully continuing the trend of awesome action Netflix has been delivering this year like Extraction and The Old Guard, Project Power arrives in August on the streaming service.  Starring Jamie Foxx, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Dominique Fishback, the trio come from different backgrounds in New Orleans to team up and try to uncover and stop the source of a drug called Power, which lets whoever takes it have 5 minutes of superpowers.  The catch is that the user of the drug doesn’t know what power will manifest until they take it and it could also be a deadly reaction with devastating effects.  Rodrigo Santoro co-stars as the kingpin behind the drug and Machine Gun Kelly, Amy Landecker, and Courtney B. Vance co-star as well.  The movie is directed by Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman, the pair behind Catfish as well as Paranormal Activity 3, Nerve, and Viral.  It looks like some really awesome superpowered based action and you can check it out on August 14th, watch the trailer below.
