One of the many cinematic appearances from the Red Hot Chili Peppers (or at least one of the members) over the year, the band appeared and performed in the cult 80s skateboarding movie Thrashin, which starred a young Josh Brolin as an amateur skateboarder who dreams of becoming a professional downhill racer.

Despite an appearance by Anthony Kiedis in 1991’s Point Break, the Red Hot Chili Peppers did not appear on the movie’s soundtrack but 80’s hair metal band Ratt did with the movie’s end credits song, “Nobody Rides for Free”.
