The final trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is here as the Skywalker Saga comes to its conclusion as the return, in some form, of Emperor Palpatine complicates the battle between The Resistance and The First Order.

Shown at this past weekend’s D23 convention, a “Special Look” at The Rise of Skywalker has some new footage from the final chapter in the Skywalker Saga, including what appears to be an evil Rey wielding a red, double-bladed lightsaber.

The first trailer for the final chapter in the main Star Wars saga, now officially called The Rise of Skywalker, is finally revealed.

Episode VIII of the Star Wars saga delivers some bold, exciting and unexpected plot and character choices on top of some visually stunning Star Wars action as Rey tries to get Luke Skywalker to teach her the ways of the Force while the few remaining scraps of the Resistance are in a desperate chase with The First Order.

Rey begins her training in the ways of the Force from Luke Skywalker while the battle between the First Order and the Resistance continues in this December’s next Star Wars chapter, The Last Jedi.

After all the hype, all the excitement, all the money, has The Force truly reawakened?
