TJ Hooker is Back on Duty

Just when you thought nothing else could possibly be remade comes the news that the Shatnertastic cop show TJ Hooker is being turned into a movie. The show featured William Shatner as the title character who was sent back to be a beat cop after his partner was murdered.  The show also starred Adrian Zmed and Heather Locklear.  The movie is going to be an action comedy with Chuck Russell directing.  Russell has directed The Mask, The Scorpion King and Eraser which isn’t a bad resume.  The movie is being written by Brent Maddock and S.S. Wilson, who are currently writing the Short Circuit remake and also wrote the script for Wild, Wild West.  A vague plot description said the movie,  “focuses on the relationship between the title character and his father.”  Let’s hope Shatner is involved in some way.
