It’s been over a decade since we last saw the late Tom Clancy’s most famous character, Jack Ryan, on the big screen with 2002’s The Sum of All Fears but coming soon Jack Ryan will be back in Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit. Chris Pine steps into the role previously played by Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford and Ben Affleck in a story very early in Jack’s CIA career when he worked for the financial analysis division and discovers a plot by Russian terrorists to cause a financial meltdown in major countries across the world. Jack heads to Moscow to investigate and comes face to face with the mastermind, played by Kenneth Brannagh, who is also directing and his fiancee gets involved as well, played by Keira Knightly. It definitely feels like it’s taking lessons from the recent spy action movies like Bourne and the Daniel Craig Bonds but it seems like it will be fun. The movie is supposed to be out Christmas Day this year and you can check out the trailer below.
I’m like the J. Jonah Jameson of Everything Action, writing and editing and constantly demanding pictures of Spider-Man.
