After delivering smaller but interesting sci-fi movies Moon and Source Code, Duncan Jones is delivering his first massive blockbuster with next summer’s Warcraft. Based in the pre-World of Warcraft era of Azeroth, so more OG Warcraft RTS, the worlds of Orcs and Men are about to collide as the Orcs must flee their dying realm but that means invading the realm of men and war seems inevitable but there are two heroes, Durotan (Toby Kebbell) on the Orc/Horde side and Sir Lothar (Travis Fimmel) on the Alliance side who might be able to make a peace. Paula Patton, Ben Foster, Dominic Cooper, Clancy Brown, Robert Kazinsky and Daniel Wu co-star. The special effects look absolutely incredible, with the Orcs looking photoreal thanks to ILM and it looks like tons of epic fantasy action is in store but the plot might be over the heads of regular audiences, as even the super nerds in Hall H of San Diego Comic Con were somewhat confused about what was going on. The movie arrives in June 2016 and you can check out the trailer below.
