Insert Coin Slam Dunks Your Nostalgia in November (Trailer)

After a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2015, the highly anticipated documentary Insert Coin is finally arriving this November as part of Alamo Drafthouse On Demand and select indie cinemas around the country.  Directed by Joshua Tsui, who worked on Mortal Kombat and was the face of Liu Kang for Mortal Kombat IV, Insert Coin tells the story of Midway Games and their legendary run of arcade classics like Robotron 2084, Defender, Smash TV, Mortal Kombat, NBA Jam, T2: The Arcade Game, NARC and more.  The documentary talks to the people behind the games, like Eugene Jarvis, Mark Turmell, John Tobias and George Petro along with fans from other areas of gaming and pop culture, like Ready Player One author Ernest Cline and Giant Bomb’s Jeff Gertsmann.  The movie features tons of behind the scenes footage, design documents and stories from development and should be a must see for anyone who grew up playing arcade games in the 80s and into the 90s.  The movie is out on November 25th and you can check out the trailer below.
