The IMF Team is Back Next July with Mission: Impossible-Dead Reckoning Part One

We’re finally getting Top Gun: Maverick this coming weekend but we still have to wait over a year for the other huge, highly anticipated Tom Cruise blockbuster, Mission: Impossible-Dead Reckoning Part One.  Christopher McQuarrie is back to write and direct following Rogue Nation and Fallout and Dead Reckoning Part One sees the IMF team of Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise), Ilsa Faust (Rebecca Ferguson), Luther Stickell (Ving Rhames), and Benji Dunn (Simon Pegg) seemingly on the wrong side of the government yet again along with battling a new foe played by Esai Morales.  Ethan’s old frenemy Kittridge is back, played again by Henry Czerny reprising his role from the first M:I movie, and Hayley Atwell joins the cast as a possible new ally for the IMF team. Vanessa Kirby is also back as arms dealer The White Widow and Pom Klementieff, Cary Elwes, Shea Whigham, Rob Delaney, and Indira Varma co-star.  The movie looks like another globe-trotting action epic from McQuarrie and Cruise, with big setpieces including Cruise jumping a motorcycle off a cliff and into a free fall, and the inclusion of Kittridge and some of the action seems like this new M:I will call back to the original more than the last few.  M:I Dead Reckoning Part One is out on July 14th, 2023 and you can check out the trailer below.
