Everything Action Commentary: Lionheart

For the first Everything Action Commentary for 2021, Zach and Chris unleash some Van Dammage and watch JCVD’s 1990 classic, Lionheart.  Van Damme plays French Legionnaire Leon Gaultier, who goes AWOL when he finds out his brother has been horrible injured in America and dies before Leon can get to see him.  Leon discovers his sister-in-law and niece are struggling financially following his brother’s death, so Leon decides to use his fighting skills to enter the world of underground street fighting and sends them the cash.  He draws the attention of fast-talking manager Joshua and seductive promoter Cynthia as he works his way up the ranks.  The guys praise the wide variety of fighting venues, Van Damme’s dramatic acting and discuss 90s villain fashion, the lack of fighting from Brian Thompson, the incompetence of the Foreign Legion, and more.  The movie is available to stream on Prime Video and you can sync it up with the commentary below and watch along with the Everything Action crew.
