Coming next year from Dreamworks and Blue Sky Animation, creators of Ice Age and Rio, comes Epic. Epic find a young girl being drawn into a fantasy war between two factions of forest warriors. It’s definitely got a Fern Gully vibe and is probably trying to capture some of that Avatar bank with it’s super agile, forest warriors who use various creatures to fly and travel around the forest. The movie features the voices of Amanda Seyfried, Josh Hutcherson, Colin Farrell, Beyonce, Jason Sudeikis, Aziz Ansari and Judah Freidlander. It’s out next May and you can check out the trailer below.
